GOAL: In response to Actress Rose McGowan, the hashtag was used in addition to #WomenBoycottTwitter after she was loked out of her Twitter account. This hashtag was a way to uplift minority groups, WOC translating into “Women of Color” and make sure their voices are heard. Soon after, her following of over 100,000 were asked to use the #WOCAffirmation “to magnify women of color on the platform” (cbc news, 2017).
